Shortbread || How to make shortbread at home..
Shortbread
is generally associated with and originated in Scotland. Shortbread are same as
biscuits and cookies. When we eat home made shortbread it should be melt in
mouth .
The
traditionally made shortbread is just made with four ingredients , it’s the basic
version of shortbread I am sharing the recipe with butter , sugar ,vanilla extract
and all purpose flour.
These go
pefect with tea and coffees. The Secret of making a good shortbread is to use a
high quality butter and pure vanilla extract.
Shortbread
can also be cut into various Shapes and size by using your favourite cookie
cutter.
Recipe:-
Ingredients
:-
-APF (all
purpose flour) 2 cups
-
Powdered Sugar (confectioners or icing) 1 cup
- Butter
1 cup
- Vanilla
extract 1tsp
Procedure:-
· In a bowl
beat the butter until smooth and creamy (with hand blender) for one minute.
· Add sugar
to it and beat for two minutes to make it smooth.
· Now
Slowly mix APF to it and knead as a dough.
· Now make
ball of medium size and roll it into circle.
· Now with
your cookie cutter cut it as your desired Shape.
· Now grease
a baking tray and put shortbread into a pre heated oven for 20 minutes at 160
degrees
· Now serve
it when cooled down.
