Ragda puri || How to make ragda puri at home..
Ragda
puri a Delicious Maharashtrian Snack.
Its
main ingredient is Dried white peas.
Most of
my friends says that they don’t like the hot ragda in chilled pani puri .
So , I have
changed puff puries into flat once so we can enjoy the tangy taste ho ragda
puri with curd n tamarind chutney.I have tried this when I was in Mumbai.
So here
is the mumbai’s popular snack ragda puri.
Ragda Puri recipe given below:-
Ingredients
Crisp puris 20
Dried white Peas,
boiled 1 ½ cup
Oil 1tbsp
Tomato 1
Green Chillies 2
Fresh Coriander
leaves 2tbsp
Cumin seeds ½ tsp
Salt –to taste
Red Chilly powder
-1/4 tsp
Roasted cumin
powder- ½ tsp
Thick yogurt- 1 cup
Powdered suger – 1 tsp
Sev -1/2 cup
Pomegranate-for
garnishing
Procedure
· Heat oil in a non-stick pan.
· Heat oil in a non-stick pan.
· Thinly slice
tomato, slit green chillies and chop coriander leaves.
· Add cumin seeds to
the pan and sauté till well browned.
· Add green chillies,
tomato and salt and cook till tomato softens.
· Add red chilli
powder and roasted cumin powder and mix.
· Add boiled peas and
a little water; simmer on medium heat for a little while.
· Set the ragda aside
to cool.
· Place yogurt in a
bowl, add powdered sugar and mix well. Keep it in a refrigerator to chill.
· Take Puri and
arrange them on a platter.
· Put ragda on them.
· Drizzle yogurt and
top with sev. Sprinkle a little red chilli powder, roasted cumin powder ,
coriander leaves and pomegranate and
serve immediately.
